umHluhluwe Safaris is located on the Elephant Coast of KwaZulu Natal, South Africa,the Hluhluwe/Imfolozi Game Reserve is the oldest game reserve in the country. Well-known for saving the White Rhino from extinction, the 96 000-hectare reserve is a “must see” destination for any foreign visitor. This “Big Five” game reserve is surrounded by a assortment of eco-systems, including the St Lucia Wetlands, a World Heritage Site, Kosi Bay and many other reserves, making it a true wonderland of wildlife.

umHluhluwe Safaris is the leading safari company on the Elephant Coast.  We have been operating open vehicle safaris in the Hluhluwe/Imfolozi Game Reserve for the past ten years. Whilst we are mainly a safari operator, we are also a registered inbound operator, and we do the ground handling for several international operators.

UmHluhluwe runs a fleet of rugged 4X4 vehicles that are exclusively intended for game viewing and driving on Africa's roughest roads. All of our vehicles carry hour metres to ensure a high level of preventative maintenance and servicing that is carried out by out in house mechanic.

Our head office in Hluhluwe is the heartbeat of our operation. From here we carry out all of our bookings and administration. It is also the place to contact us for any information or advice you might need regarding accommodation or activities in the area. We can offer you completely unbiased advice on the best possible packages to suit you or your clients’ needs and budgets.

• All of the open vehicles seat 10 and are either Landrovers or Land Cruisers.
• We carry groups consisting of anything from 4 to 200 pax  (we regularly handle 160 + pax from cruise liners)
• Breakfast on the banks of the Hluhluwe RiverB.B.Q lunch  or picnic lunch on the banks of the Hluhluwe River.
• Transfers in the Zululand region
